Orthotics 3 Quarter Length Kids Small
If you’re concerned that your little one has flat feet or collapsed arches or is experiencing growing pains, or suffering from heel or knee pain, then you may want to consider the use of orthotics. Our ¾ length kids orthotic insoles have been designed by experienced Australian podiatrists and will help to restore your child’s natural walking pattern and provide biomechanical support. Taking orthotic action at an early age will encourage natural development of the feet and may prevent many biomechanical complaints or lessen their impact. While our kids orthotics are totally safe to wear we do recommend that you consult your GP or foot specialist if your little one has a severe foot deformity or illness.
It’s completely normal for younger children to have flat feet until they reach the age of 4-5 when you should see signs of their foot arches developing. By the time they reach 7 or 8, the arches should be practically fully developed. Over-pronation or rolling inwards of the ankles which is often accompanied by flat arches, is of more concern than arch development since this can cause your child to develop an unnatural gait. While they may not develop any specific foot condition during their early years, if left uncorrected, it’s likely they may encounter knee pain (Osgood-Schlatters), heel pain (Sever’s Disease), aching legs, or general foot pain.
Extending from the arch of the foot to the back of the heel, our kids orthotic insoles slip easily into any type of footwear and sports shoes and are designed to sit on top of the existing insole. Providing strong support for the arches they also feature a blue shock absorbing heel pad and provide all important relief from foot and heel pain. Most children wear orthotics without any problem although it may take a day or so for them to get used to them. Convenient to use, affordable and efficient, our kids orthotic insoles encourage happy, healthy and active feet.
